Listening to shuffle and writing

(outkast – art of storytelling part 2)

Of course it’s dark outside and by looking around I know this to be a lie

for the light is on down the street and explore it I must

to find out the very secrets it guides

the mystery it hides

inside the light we shall find

a salvation to the darkness around

(BLOC PARTY – PIONEERS)

Step by step, creeping forward,

caution, caution

a step to loud and a splash in a puddle, cring, look back, all clear

wait…

nothing there. step by step, creeping forward… caution caution. shhhh

noise, rustling, wind blowing, howling it’s starting to rain in fierce, angled and driving

faster faster!, no! caution please caution

we must know the answer, curiousity and suspense is overtaking me in this night

the darkness is too great and total it’s surrounding everything that we shall ever see and know

please we must know how this light work, we have to know the mystery it holds and the secrets untold must unfold.

faster now, running, slipping, get up, running, no caution

desperation, faster faster!

noise, splash, echo down the street as I run, run

(muse – unintended)

speed slowing down, slow motion rain drops upon my face, running through it all, nothing is happening, we aren’t getting closer

slower and slower, farther and farther, running harder running harder, fading away fading away…faaaalllliiiinnnngggg

dooowwwwnnnn…

(New Found Glory – All downhill from here)

the crash shatters the light. frantic! panic!, the mystery has faded and burned, where to now where too, panic confusion, thoughts and loss careening through my mind. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

look down, the light is there

its near me, my chest it’s bright, light, it glows, its…inside. THERE inside! we are whole! I’ve got it, i know

peace…sigh…sleep

(Jimmy Eat World – Hear You Me)

fade out, smile
